Packing for kids used to feel overwhelming.
I’d either overpack or miss something important—and it was always needed at the worst time.
Over time, I’ve realised something simple:
Kids don’t need more clothes. They need the right ones.
Start here: comfort comes first
Before packing anything, I ask myself—
Will my child be comfortable in this for hours?
If not, it doesn’t go.
What actually works
1. Cotton nightsuits (pack extra)
Kids wear them more than you expect—mornings, naps, downtime and on flights.
Soft, breathable, and always the most used.
2. Easy daywear
- Co-ord sets
- T-shirts with bottoms
- Easy dresses
Nothing tight or complicated. Just fuss-free comfort.
3. 1–2 dressed-up outfits
For dinners or outings—but still soft and easy to wear.
4. A light layer
Flights, evenings, AC spaces—you’ll need it.
5. One ethnic outfit (if needed)
Keep it light and comfortable. No heavy dressing.
My one rule
One extra outfit per day.
Spills and surprises always happen.
Pack smart
- Mix and match pieces
- Roll clothes to save space
- Keep one outfit handy in your bag
Our outfits can be mixed and matched easily. For instance , our white cotton linen shorts can be paired with any nice tshirt or shirt. Our shirts can be paired with any nice jeans or pajamas. We design our westerns keeping in mind the utility of mixing and matching.
Simple checklist
- Cotton nightsuits (extra)
- Easy daywear
- 1–2 outing outfits
- A light layer
- One ethnic set (if needed)
- Extra outfit per day
Keep it simple. Keep it practical. Keep them comfortable.
